  • Shifter Falls Academy: Year One

    L.C. Mortimer

    language (, Jan. 17, 2020)
When the first shifters were created, they were strong. Wild. Powerful. Impossibly fast. They were everything. And then they weren't.Now shifters are hunted. They're hated. They're despised by everyone in the entire world, and that poses a pretty big problem for me because, well, I'm one of them.On the eve of my 18th birthday, I discover that I have the shifter gene. Usually, shifters learn to change into their animal forms long before their birthday, but I guess growing up in foster care and struggling to survive caused my body just a little bit of stress. Now I'm changing into a cat without any notice and struggling to change back, and as it turns out, I only have one option: Shifter Falls Academy. It's a school for people like me, and it's hidden away deep in the Wolf Mountains.I don't want to go to this school.I don't want to go hiding away until I learn to use my powers.I don't want any of these things, but the truth is that monsters are real, and they're coming after me with everything they've got.Fans of Harry Potter, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Supernatural – get ready to explore a world where magic is real and anything can happen.
  • Shifter Falls Academy: Year Two

    L.C. Mortimer

    language (, May 17, 2020)
Shifter Falls Academy is known for three things: great food, great teachers, and great scenery. Notice that I didn't say great students because, well, it's not exactly known for having great students. In fact, some of the students at my school would best be described as scum-of-the-Earth.Shifter Falls isn't exactly a high school or a college. It's something completely in-between. It's a place where people can learn to use their powers for good or for evil, and unfortunately, a lot of students choose to use those powers for evil.I've been at Shifter Falls for an entire year when I realize that something about my Shifting on Command instructor seems a little...strange. He's constantly looking over his shoulder like he's being watched, and everything about him is really, ridiculously private. What's he hiding in the attic of the school? And why is it so important to him that every single student learn to shift effortlessly without hesitation? He knows something we don't know, and I'm not going to stop until I find out what.Author's Note: Shifter Falls is an adventure academy story full of twists, turns, and a sprinkling of romance. Perfect for fans of Harry Potter and Hybrid Academy.

  • The Wolf

    L.C. Mortimer

    language (, Oct. 25, 2019)
Boarding schools aren't for the faint of heart.Neither are fairy tales.A lot can go wrong in a fairy tale. You can have your prince stolen, your eyes poked out, or your parents murdered.High School is kind of the same way. Anything can happen, and usually the things that do won't lead to a happy ending.Hi.I'm Jessica.I'm the only non-magical student at Enchanted Academy, and I'm kind-of crazy about the school bully. I shouldn't be, but I am. That's high school, right? My school has a lot going for it, but there's also a lot going wrong. For example, my roommate's life is totally going up in flames. See, Wolf loves this guy, Red. She's totally fallen for him. She's like completely, absolutely, over-the-top crazy about him. This story is all about Wolf and whether she finally gets the nerve to make a move on Red. After all, high school is all about taking chances and chasing your dreams, right? There's just one problem. He doesn't know she exists.**THE WOLF is a high school bully romance and is the second book in the ENCHANTED ACADEMY series. It should be read AFTER book 1: The Beauty.**
